Perth's own Plastic Free Places program

WA Plastic Free is the Perth pilot for Boomerang Alliance's Plastic Free Places program.

We work directly with food retailers, events, markets in areas of Perth (Currently Bassendean and Bayswater) and assist them to switch from single-use plastics to better alternatives, empowering them to become Plastic Free Champions.

But... that's just the beginning. We also work with councils, suppliers, manufacturers and composters to deliver real solutions to businesses.

And if that's not enough.. we aim to inspire our community (i.e. YOU) to make changes in your own life and support those businesses that do too.

our impact so far...

We started in Perth in March 2019, however on-ground work has been on hold since Aug 31, 2019 due to funding constraints. Check out our Half-year Report.

Our current impact (as at Mar 31, 2020) is...

*Plastic Free Champions are members that have eliminated all of our key plastic items (straws, coffee cups & lids, takeaway containers & lids, food ware (cutlery, plates, cups etc), water bottles & bags).
